07 Cat 350
Hi everyone, enjoy reading all of the threads. I thought I would post this question about the 2007 Cat 350. I have friends looking at a 2007 Phaeton with the cat 350, anybody have bad experience with this Cat, what about parts and the EGR system, 07 emmissions, etc. Just not sure about the cat and if there are any common problems that anyone could share. Hey Mike what do you think.

I have not had any problems with mine. It's a 2006 and I've had it for two years, last year full time. Good mileage, good hill-climbing power, even at close to max weight and towing 4500 lbs. Emissions were grandfathered so no problems with licensing so far. Many Cat dealers throughout North America and also most truck centers can source parts (I checked). Hope this helps.

Have on 07 Journey 34H with the cat 350 and has been great. Only issue was the Huhe(sp) pump at 16,000 miles but was replaced by Cat on warranty. Now have 44,000 miles and just be sure to check records on service history. Plenty of power towing our jeep or our ski boat. Good luck.

Ron,
The HEUI pump is part of the fuel injection system. Oil pressure is used to create the final high fuel pressure for injection.

My B-I-L has the Cat 350 in his 04 Meridian. It has been a very good engine. I think the only real difference between the Cat and the Cummins is that you have to have the valves adjusted once....I forget at what mileage.
His 350 Cat is quicker than my 400 ISL, but I catch him after about a quarter mile.
