Looking at a deal on a 07 Cayman 38PBT..sticker is 188k so it has just about everything it can come with. The part I am concerned with is the 325hp/ISB cummins with the 6 speed trans and if it will be good enough power wise. Our Tropical t330 300 cummins/5sp has been great and decent mileage but worry about the extra weight of the Monaco as it looks to be about 24000lbs...thanks

Warren,

My previous MH was a '99 Discovery, 36.5 feet that weighed in at around 22 or 23,000 pounds as I recall. I had the ISB rated at 275 HP. It was adequate on the highway, but I felt I needed more power out of the gate, and on hills. So I added a Banks TLC kit that brought it up to just over 300 HP. I was extremely happy with the results.

Based on that, my guess is that the newer ISB 325 will do the job for you on the Cayman. And I think you'll get the same good fuel mileage that you are used to with that engine. Hopefully a couple of Cayman owners will post and confirm my "guess".
