Thanks, Bill. My Endeavor frame was hollow too. Fortunately, the Camelot's is solid. Don't get why the factory had put the bed-mount brackets thru just luan tho. Probably pulled out the first week.
I like the idea of longer struts. 90 lb does sound kinda light tho.

We have the 140s. With a 4" memory foam topper on top of the sleep number, it is just about right. Not sure if a lessor strut would lift it.

yea I agree, 90# a little light. I scoured the internet at the time and 90 was the strongest I could find with the 30" ++ length as a stock item. Someone said the 90# would be okay, but I think they had a light matress.
If I order from bansbach, I'd probably do 30-32" at about 120-125.
If you get too strong, it's hard to pull mattress back down (DW couldn't do it by herself when I had the 160# on there before this change). We even bent the supports trying.
BTW, I think bansbach has a formula to figure out exactly what strength you need, but it's fairly complex calculation, as I recall.

Thanks, John.
I have the 160's now, and wife sez they're too stiff. The bed barely stays down too. Soon's I find some, I'll give the 140's a try.

I found them in Canada. 752991 on, but I see they are only 23 inches (factory) longer would be nice for sure.

Wow, Bill! Ow! Ow! OW!
I think I just split my head open trying to figure out how to use their calculator!
When I first started on this project several months ago, I suspected there might be a mathematical way to size & locate the struts and brackets rather than just trial and error. Yep, there is a way.... But I think trial and error is a lot more easy now that I've seen it

Ah, you found it . Their formula is WAY beyond my pay grade. If anyone here can figure it out, I'll buy you a beer in QZ next year.
