Ben, thx buddy. I just couldn’t figure out by pass rating. I ordered on Amazon the CI-20, and ordered a ceiling sprinkler safety cage to place over it. Reasoning: I think it was damaged by my intake hose that hangs down in that corner, then P.O. never noticed it, so it corroded over etc. I placed a plug in were the gauge was suppose to be when I purchased coach, it was leaking slightly.
Thx guys for your help. One item checked off the list![emoji16]

The filter change definitely help with most of the noise. I still get it when steering wheel is moved but that is probably normal. Thanks

on cars and trucks, , when i hear this whining from the power steering pump, i change the fluid.
flush the system a couple of times, and most of the times it goes away. yes, it takes some extra fluid, but its better than the alternative.
if not, change the pump.

Yes, went with Source Engineering shocks; 60 mm up front and 46 mm in back. This was based on my actual weight of coach.

Hfg59,

I would like to ask a "rookie" question. I believe that my coach is starting to have the same symptoms as yours did. (Slight noise when turning the steering wheel at slow speeds that sounds like a power steering issue)

Did you change out the hydraulic fluid and change the filter?

Does your reservoir look like this?

Where does the gauge mount?

Sorry for all of the questions, I hope I'm not out of line asking, I'm just lost on this subject Click image for larger version

You not have a gauge, you have longer tank with internal filters I believe.

My 03 Windsor ISL has a Sauer-Danfoss pump that has 2 out puts
I think it is 2 pumps in one .
One for power steering the other for the radiator fans , both use the same fluid .

For what it's worth, you folks who are hearing your steering pumps getting louder may want to make sure the king pins, if you have them, are not binding up, from lack of grease.

Zo66 it's hard to tell if your tank the same size as mine in the pic. Tomorrow I will measure the height an let you know if it's the same. My gauge sit right above hydraulic filter on drivers side. I did not change fluid just filter but after reading one of the other post maybe I should. Heck I don't know. Noise seems like it back almost all the time today. I'm not sure how the oil would get contaminated or dirty but maybe it needs changing. I've had big John deer tractors with 5000 hrs that never had hydraulic oil changed that I can remember. Thought maybe I'd take tank off an clean it out really good maybe there's something in there restricting the flow or maybe it has another filter inside of it. I'm changing out one of the tail lights that had a broken place in it. That's a bigger job than I thought. So might be later tomorrow before I get back to you. Thanks everyone
