09 HR Endeavour fridge and ice maker outlets

Hello, I picked up the Endeavour in Sept. and am trying to get up to speed on the various systems. I notice the Norcold fridge would run on shore power and generator, but not on the inverter. There are two outlets and one was labeled as ice maker, the other above it had no label but the fridge is plugged into it.
I tested both and the ice maker outlet will work off the inverter but other one does not.

So...is there a reason that the fridge would be plugged into an outlet that is not on the inverter but the ice maker is? It seems backwards to me and I know I can simply change the plugs around but thought I would check the forums collective wisdom first as this is our first RV.

The way they are plugged in is correct, when not on shore or Gen power, the fridge should be on propane, the 110V power for the unit will cause a large power draw on inverter and drain your batteries in somewhat short order.

The electric element in my Dometic absorption fridge is 430 watts!

About 500 watts equals a bit over 40 amps @ 12 volt DC.

Add a few amps for conversion losses and your looking st 45 amp steady draw on the battery bank.

45 amp draw for 1 hour is 45 AH. spend the 10 hour night and your 400 AH battery bank is fully discharged. At least then the gas will kick in.

Thanks all. I appreciate your replies. The previous 2nd owner had the propane disabled due to concern of a fire hazard. He did not know what they did, but did mention it. Honestly that is the only info I received. He is a great guy, but he admitted that he knew little about the RV and only used it to go to Florida for 2 years and then it sat winterized for 2 years.
I have no manuals, but did receive a great amount of info from YC1, a few weeks ago which has been very helpful.
