09 Sig Steering

A week ago Friday I went to pick up my coach from Lazy Days. Started driving towards their exit and discovered the steering column was very loose. Turned around and left the coach. Lazy Days discovered the the bolts holding the steering tilt mechanism were extremely loose. This could have lead to a catastrophic accident. We're not certain, however, the likely cause was inadequate torque on the bolts when the coach was built.

Were they working somewhere in that area before you picked it up?

Steve, glad the steering wheel didn't come off in your hands. Are these the bolts that hold the part of the column about 6"-8" down from the steering wheel to a bracket under the dash?

You are going to love the Sig after you get rid of the little problems.

Lazy Days was not performing work in this area of the coach.

You should check on this recall also:
KONGSBERG POWER PRODUCTS SYSTEMS I, INC., (KPPS) IS RECALLING ON BEHALF OF MONACO COACH CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2008-2010 MOTOR HOMES MANUFACTURED AFTER APRIL 2007 AND EQUIPPED WITH PNEUMATIC AND HYDRAULIC ADJUSTABLE BRAKE PEDAL ASSEMBLIES SUPPLIED BY KPPS. THE DRIVE PIN WHICH SECURES THE BRAKE PEDAL ARM TO THE BALANCE OF THE ASSEMBLY MAY BECOME DISENGAGED, THIS MAY CAUSE A REDUCTION IN VEHICLE BRAKING AND/OR CAUSE THE BRAKE PEDAL TO MOVE OUT OF POSITION AND INTERFERE WITH THROTTLE PEDAL FUNCTION.

I had this recall on my 09 Exec. Kongsberg sent me a device to secure the pedal arm. Took me just a few minutes to install.
