12v connection from Carefree Awning

I have a 2008 Cayman with a Carefree Patio awning. There is a master on/of switch on the entry door panel along with an extract/retract switch. Also, there is a extract/retract switch on the awning control arm outside. I'm try to pull 12v off the wires that come out the side by the awning to power a 12v led strip light. I can see where I get the 12v (yellow wire) but nowhere can I see a ground. I've attached a schematic and, not being an electrical wizbang, I'm not sure where to make ground. I may have to run a separate wire to ground???. I've not found the Carefree relay control inside yet. I see a ground on that that I could tap into??? Any help would be appreciated guys. Again, I'm not an electrician and trying to figure this thing out.

With mine, I just pulled the covers off the inside of awning arms, and ran an extension cable made for the light strips up the arms, reinstalled covers, and used the hole where the awning wires are.....then inside, went with an RF controller and drew the power for the controller from a passthru light....
