I'll go for five. On my '01 Dip 38A there are two (side by side) on the right side of the dash - just to the right of the right hand air vent. One in the 110VAC receptacle plate facing the entry door and one in the sidewalk side wall plate (along with 110 VAC and phone hook-up) under the computer desk. One outside in the first sidewalk side compartment along with a 110 VAC receptacle to power the freezer.

Green lights and soft breezes,

Thanks Steve...
I am so proud of SacsTC for coming up with something creative to solve the problem. I am glad for you that it looks like only the 2007 models are the affected models.
He could probably take it on as a side business for others...now that he knows what to do. This has been a learning process on his part. Any others he does will look even better!

Oops.. back on topic...
I thought about going out & checking for 12V outside... but I don't consider that a usuable outlet for traveling as I believe Kev meant. I probably have at least one out there...but I won't be jumping out to plug something in while we are traveling... Am I correct, Kev?
Soooo....as far as I am concerned - I have 4 usable 12V outlets inside the coach

WGO gave me 5 - 12V outlets inside the coach. This is much improved from previous years and is most welcome. With cell phone chargers, BlueTooth chargers, computers, auxiliary brake monitors, small portable inverters you just can't get enough.

Technology and times are a changin'

Thanks for the replies. Is the Knight so low on the food chain that it only warrants one 12V outlet in the coach!!??!?!? I'm going to write my congressman

But, I'm not complainin'. I love my rig, and that is a pretty small thing I can easily add more.

Thanks again for the replies.

Kev, I had the same setup with our 06 Knight 40dlp, and did the same as you. However, did you try to take the cover for the outlet off? I did, and found that the 12 v had a "pigtail" on the back side of the power outlet that I tied into my 3 outlet expander. Now I have a clean install and a total of 4 outlets in the front.

Dwhee...
Let me be the first to welcome you to the IRV2 board!!!!

You really should post a "hello" in the "New Member" board so you get the proper welcome from everyone here. It seems the Monaco area is one of the quietest on the board (I think it is cuz we have a lot less problems than the others ! LOL

That is a great first post... I am thinking that we need to pull our plug off to see if we havea hidden 12V pigtail ... that way I can keep up with the Kev's of the world with a LOT less work!
Again ... welcome to the board - and post as often as you like ... you probably have a lot to offer to everyone else here...

My 05 Diplomat has 5 inside. One at the door, two on the dash, one at the dinette and one in the bedroom. If you are looking for additional 12volt power there are usually several unused sources under the dash and one by the overhead TV for fans. Monaco runs all the wiring and leaves it there if you don't buy certain options, like fans.

Thanks for mentioning this. I have suspected as much, and am glad to see that someone else agrees. I have seen several indications of this, and have a few pictures of things I suspect are those very "loose ends".

Welcome Dwhee - thanks for that tip. I will go take a look.
