Do you know where the secondary fuel filter is located?

I am going to change the fuel filter I can reach and the lift pump just to cross them off the list.

If I can find the second filter, I'll replace that also.

Report back tomorrow!

Thanks again

Quick question for anyone reading. I'm looking at upgrading the fuel system to FASS. What is recommended fuel pressure? They offer a system of 8-10 psi or 16 psi. I don't want to run too much and blow a seal in the IP.

My apologies, I have no touched it all weekend (to repair it). I did install a tv, sound system and xbox. I did clean it up for my cousin's family to visit! Thankfully everything worked! But I did discover a few issues that need to be addressed.

My fresh water tank leaks so I just kept it connected to hose and the leak went away. So at least I can take my time on fixing the tank and still camp!

I don't know if the system overloads or my house breaker just blows under 20amps... but that was an issue.

Leveling system works great, actually lifted the tires off the ground with blocks under the jacks.

List of things to do still.

1. Alternator first and foremost
1.5 Air in the fuel lines - new fuel filter and fuel pump on the block replaced.

2. Mount new ignition ( I need to find the mounting pieces for the dash, last one was broken.)

3. Repair the water tank leak.

Other than that I think we're off to a good start!

Hoping to touch it tomorrow and do number 1.5

Dang man. This is fun to watch. I'm doing extremely similar things to mine and it seems like a full time job. It's a lot of fun, just exhausting.

Keep the photos and updates coming.

As for #3, make sure the lever to switch it from the fresh water fill and the house system is all the way turned, if you have one of those levers, as it may be leaking some of the water into the fresh water tank and overfilling it, making you think it has a leak! That is a common mistake that we all have made at one time or the other!! You are coming along great with the (deal of the century)!! Rail!

I would not worry about a little blue at start up at this point... get new filters in there and I would cut them apart to make sure you do not have any strange growth in the tank...

Get your voltage up to 13.5 volts running before you chase gauge issues... then grounds are good suspects...

nice find...

Diesel truck forms can really be helpful for the 5.9L

Thanks bud, just retired from the car industry this morning and now I'm moving into real estate so I have some free time on my hands in between... which means lots of

I put a new battery in and it cured A LOT of the starting issues. Still have some idling issue, but not as major as I thought.

I do have an alternator issue. That it's not working

I took it off and half the bolts snapped off, I'd say it's time to replace. It's an already rebuilt unit by this company.

https://www.therobson.com/product/250-10200/&q=24-3

I'm looking at other options, I might just go with these guys in the next few days.

I found an alternator from Oreillys that almost worked, but the shaft wasn't the same size for the pulley.

So my list just shrunk a little bit -

1. alternator
2. ignition (mount). The little chrome part that spins on and clamps it onto the dash is missing.
3. Water leak from the tank (it was dead empty, started adding water checking the digital gauge and when it reached 30% full it started leaking water. Not a big deal, I'll just use city water hookup for now.

Everything else is better now, pressure washed outside today, crawled up on the roof and cleaned it off.

Do you know where to find the mount for this ? The part that spins on and clamps it to the dash?

Only gauges that aren't working at tachometer and speedometer. I'm tracking them down after I get the alternator up and running.

I can't seem to find it on their website. Found the ignition and assumed it would be under accessories but it's not.

I appreciate your help.
