1998 Imperial Fuel filters
I just bought a 1998 HR Imperial and I found the one fuel filter at the rear drivers side. I can't find another one. Can there only be one or am I missing something.

Good evening Dennis; Not too acquainted with a 98 H.R. Imperial, but might have an idea. This is if your coach does not have the side radiator. There might be a compartment that houses the dash A/C condenser. It is usually on the drivers side either in front of or behind the rear wheel. It has those barrel key locks to open the compartment. The A/C condenser swings open with the door and the fuel filter is located there. You mention that you found one at the rear drivers side so I am not sure exactly where you are referring to. This is just a guess. Have seen this type of set up on other Monaco/ Holiday Rambler coaches. Not sure this info will help, but it is the only thing I can think of at the moment. Good luck searching!

You do not say what engine and chassis you have.
Our 98 HR endeavor has a Cummins ISB diesel and a Freightliner chassis. Take thew VIN to Freightliner and they will tell you if you have two or three fuel filters.
We have two (that I know of and I have looked for a third). The first from the fuel tank is as you described.
The second is mounted on the engine on the passenger side. Lift pump, fuel filter, then injector pump. Hard to see from above, hard to get to from below.
I have replaced both fuel filters. Next time I will let Speedco do it.

Ok Thanks guy's. My Imperial has an 8.3 Cummins and a side radiator and the Roadmaster Chassis.
The fuel filter has a water separator on it and is located to the rear of the side radiator. You either get it from inside the rear doors or from the underside. I will have another look on the side of the engine.
My last coach (an 01 Imperial) had both located right at the rear for real easy access.

On my 8.3 engine the secondary filter is on the passengers side at the rear of the engine.
It's hard to see but not hard to change.

Thanks,I finally found it. Rear of the passenger side of the engine. There are a couple wiring looms hanging down so I never seen it a first glance.
