My recommendation would depend on how you intend to use your RV. If you want to travel south for the winter and stay in one place for 3+ months and then travel north for the summer and again stay in one place for the summer, then the floorplan and "house" aspects of the RV are important.
If you intend to travel around the country regularly, driving every month or every few weeks, then a major consideration should be the chassis, as the driving characteristics are important.
Some of the best driving coaches are built on the Roadmaster "S" chassis and are found in the Dynasty, Executive, and Signature Monaco motor coaches. In addition to the great chassis, the interiors are top of the line and built very well.
For my use, I prefer buying a few year older coach in order to be able to afford the better chassis and cabinetry of the Roadmaster "S" chassis coaches (Dynasty, Executive, Signature). I've owned a 2002 Dynasty and now our 2006 Signature.
You should be able to find a 2000 Dynasty with a slide reasonably priced. If it has been well maintained, it should be rock solid and safe to drive.
