1999 Dynasty King dashboard lights issue

Hi y’all, longtime non-member lurker, new member, first post.

On Friday I bought a beautiful, well-maintained 99’ Dynasty PBS King in my native Florida and am now in the process of making my way back across the country to my current home in Colorado.

On the evening of my first day on the road I found that I can’t turn on the dashboard lights, so I can’t see my speedo/tach/gauges. So I’m trying to figure out where the fuse panel associated with those lights is. Assistance would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

The pull out light dash light switch is also a dimmer, see if that makes them get brighter.
If that doesn't fix it look in your front drivers side run bay. There are two small #1 & #2 Monaco boxes. Look in #1 box for a 10 amp fuse, I believe this is what provides power to the background lights on dash and switches.

If neither of those fix it it might be the rheostat portion of the light switch, it could have burned out. This looks a coiled spring.

Yes, you might also try rotating the dimmer function back and forth a few times which could help remove any corrosion that might be interfering. I now on mine I find the direction you turn the dimmer a bit counter-intuitive, so try rotating it fully both directions to see if the gauge lights brighten up.

Also congrats! That's a beautiful rig.
