1999 Monaco Executive Info?

Hello all,
I'm new here and looking forward to learning all I can about the '99 Monaco Executive I just purchased. Yes it's an older model but a nice upgrade from what I've been traveling in.

My problem is lack of information about the engine. The previous owner was no help having paid somebody else to change oil, fuel and air filters and such. Pointed at the owners manual and said, "it's all in there". Well it's not. I can't find an ID plate on the engine and apparently '99 was the year the M11 changed to the ISM? I like doing my own maintenance if possible but I need to know what I have first. I'd appreciate any help provided.

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined us!

Congrats on the new rig! Sorry I can't help with that. Have fun and keep her between the ditches!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

The engine data plate is on the curb side of the engine block, just below the head. Mine has an M11 - but it was actually built in 98.

That's one all around fine rig didn't anybody tell you different. Lots of proven bullet proof in it. The build sheet should have the ser # of engine as well as many other items. Mine is in bedroom cabinet. If you have all books/binders from Monaco that year there should be a lot of info, maybe no service records . But I have all grease points ,filter #s,oil types and capacities , paint codes.I hope you got everything. Mine has wiring diagrams thank god, I could live without everything else. Even had every sony warranty card lol. Need a Trinatron manual I had it, every speaker, amp ,radio.
Get some test strips "just a few check exp. dates" for SCA in coolant I did before purchase very important as not to erode wet cylinder sleeves . Change the oil and filter save a sample. Get all fluids tested . Try to find out if tranny was upgraded to Transyn fluid. I had sticker for that PO promised me he had it change a second time as well. You should never have to change if it is just test. There is supposed way to register your cummins ser# with them get all sort of info IDK haven't done it as of yet.

This will tell you where your ESN (engine serial number) is:

https://www.dieselpartsdirect.com/fi...-serial-number

Once you get your ESN, go to:

https://quickserve.cummins.com/

Register your vehicle. It's a great source for info on replacement parts. You can also call Cummins Customer Service ( 1-800-343-7357 ) and give them your ESN

Wow, what a great coach. And the Cummins ISM is a great engine. You may not need it, but Cummins can upgrade it to 500hp.
You can download the 2001 Executive owners manual online (they do not list the 99 model). A digital copy makes searches much easier than a printed version.

I suspect the same for this coach. It came with both '98 and '99 owners manuals.

Thanks.
