2 Questions-Kitchen light bulb change-vent cover
2 Questions-Kitchen light bulb change-vent cover:
How do I get to these bulbs to change them?...see picture. I know it's a bad picture, but it has a wood frame around it.
Where can I get a cover for this vent in the kitchen?...see picture
Thank You for any help.

For the light you might be able to remove each of the plastic pieces to get to the light. If not you should see 4 wood buttons that can be removed, with screws underneath to take down the whole wood frame.
I believe the vent grill is for a Coolomatic fan. They are out of business so don't know where you could get and exact replacement. May check websites and find something close.

The wooden frame may be hinged on one side and held in place by the snap door catches on the other side. Just a matter of pulling down on one side to get them to release, as some of them are pretty heavy duty.
On the Coolamatic cover, you may find one at one of the salvage yards. Viseone has a large number of Monacos on hand, dont know if they inventory a part like that though. Could email them and find out. Otherwise, NWRV Supply or Veriunk may have some new old stock laying around. You also may be able to fabricate one yourself out of sheetmetal and put in some insulating foam. It would not be a difficult thing to duplicate I don't think. Pictures could be posted of the original. If nothing else, make a simple wooden frame with screen in it, that could match the light fixture frames, that can be blocked off with a dense foam rubber for winter insulation and removed for summer, just a thought. Hope this may help. Happy Trails Bert

Thank you both for the replies. Light frame has the buttons so I will be removing screws...looking into the cover.

Hi Timaz; Just like Jacwjames mentioned, you lift up on those plastic panels and move them to one side or the other for just getting access to the tubes. If your changing out the whole fixture, I am sure removing the wood trim would give you better access. The white covers for the Koolamatic Fan are gold if you could find one. I talked to an RV supplier a couple of years ago on one as mine has some small crack in it. He said if you hand me 200 of those covers I will have them sold by the next day. Also have seen pictures of owners making some nice covers out of Naugahyde and installing with snaps attached to the ceiling.

Thank You, I guess I will be making a cover for the vent.

2 Questions-Kitchen light bulb change-vent cover
. Here is a cover that I made out of some Formica I had laying around. From the OP’s photo of the vent, I can see that he already has the side rails for the cover, so mine slides directly into those rails. Formica has a tendency to curl a bit, so if I used it in really cold weather I’d glue some reinforcement and foam insulation on it to keep it flat.
