2000 Dynasty Headlamps

Need to replace our headlights. Can any one give us a part number. Some research indicates its a BMW 391 part.
And NO we aren't going to clean the lenses. Tried that with multiple products etc. They are to far gone.

Please provide a pic. There is a website that is called realoem.com and allows you to identify BMW parts but you have to have the last 7 digits of the vin. Since thats not applicable in this case, it will require some other approaches. Since you have a 2000, i would think the specific BMW light would be something off the e36 model (3 series from 1992-1998) - I would kind of doubt it would be from a 5 or 7 series bc of the cost. But I will need a look at one.

Maybe something like this?

47$ on rockauto - I think the left PN is the one above. The right is BM253101 I think

Pull the genny out and see if you can find a part number.
- typically stamped on one surface or another of the light assembly...

left and right will be different part numbers, but once you have one, the other is easy to match...

good luck and do not hesitate to contact a 'salvage' yard as they have locator services that kind find what you need...
(don't tell them it's for a mh and you might not get shilled )

IDK, not like they give price breaks to BMW parts buyers. I know first hand...

Norwestie, those look just like the headlight assemblies in our '05 HR Endeavor which are from the 2000-2002 Lincoln LS. I bought them from Oracle Lighting with LED rings around the lights and wired them to the key so they are lit anytime the key is in the 'on' position.

There are numbers cast into the lens of the lights. Search on that to find the whole assemblies. It's a DOT number required by law although a few manufacturers do seem to get away with illegal (non certified) lights.

Nana25k-

"Mr_D" is correct in that pulling the numbers off the existing lamp housings will provide confirmation (or not) of other posts.

Here is a link to a Google search of iRV2 posts with the terms headlights," "2000" and "Dynasty" in them. Several posts say the headlights match those for a 1999 BMW540i.

Of particular interest may be this post and thread.

I have some experience with this.

I ordered units from https://www.umnitza.com for the e39 BMW.

I ended up getting HID projectors (Xenon) using a Taiwanese knockoff housing (TYC I think). I am not thrilled with the quality of the housing or the way the "angel eyes" are attached. In addition I couldn't ever figure out how to aim the halogen high beams.

It doesn't really matter as the Xenon's are great once adjusted appropriately.

Doing it all over, I'd probably look for BMW OEM Hella original projectors and use those and POTENTIALLY retrofit the HID lights into them.

Mine look good, work ok, but there are some quirks with the Xenon ballasts and the smart wheel Day Time Running lights when wipers are on and other oddities. I think if you go this route you need to use a relay to power them not through the switch in the dash.

I think I spent around $600 in all, maybe a little more. You can call those guys and they are helpful, but they do try to up-sell a lot.

One other note, these were difficult to install. I am not sure why. They took quite a while and I was quite contorted to get them in there. I still haven't wired up the "angel eyes" but still like they way they look, but on close inspection and scrutiny, these are not BMW level quality lights.

Hope this helps.

Innovative Coach works in Junction City Or. has been doing some stuff with BMW headlights. They had a couple of examples at the Canyonville Or. Beaver Ralley. They might be able to help your search, can't hurt to call them. You also might check with the parts guys at Beaver Coach Sales in Bend.... Matt has worked miracles for me in the past

Ron it's a 1999 BMW 540 I headlight Assy according to the Monacoers parts list and my list when I changed my lights. You will have to a little cutting the plastic brackets to fit them and it's a little tight under the cap.

Great information as I plan on updating my headlights next year.

Not to derail this thread but has anyone changed over the lower driving ( fog) lights to high power led's? ... and if so what did you use?

Thanks in advance.
