2000 Holiday Rambler house batteries not charging from engine

Hello

We have a 2000 Holiday Rambler Vacationeer 35 BPD. We have noticed that the house batteries do not charge when driving down the road. They charge on shore power and when the generator runs. Any help troubleshooting this would be great.

Thanks
Kevin Carr

There is no problem, as that is the way it was built. You need to install a trickle an start or a bird system. These systems charge from the bank being charged to the other. Do a search and you will find tons of info. Many RV's have these systems from the factory some do not, even from year to year in the same brand and model.

Yup thats the way they are built - I installed an echo charger - works great - now when I sit the shore power charges the start battery's and vise a versa. Check under the mods thread and you will find all part numbers and wiring info. easy to fix
