2000 Monaco Diplomat Screen Door Latch Fix/Replacement

My latch for the screen door sort of wobbles around quite a bit. Anyone have a fix for this?

Thank you Bizzerbiz, that does look like the handle, but I think my bushing is badly worn that the handle operates in. I have not taken it apart yet, but I will. I wonder if the bushing is available?

I would think the same company would carry that as well. Seems to me I replaced the bushing as well. I will recheck the package tomorrow.

I had the same issue with my latch. I found "shouldered" nylon bushings at Ace hardware (take the shaft with you). If my memory is correct I think the inside bushing was to wide and I sanded it down on a belt sander. It has worked well for the last 5-6 years no more slop.

If you can't find the bushing itself here is an assembly from Vuerinks RV center product #1900206 $109.95 for complete assembly. Seems to me tho that you should be able to get this assembly at any RV center. Good Luck to you!

Hi Map747; Call NW RV Supply in Eugene Oregon. They have a screen door handle replacement kit. I installed this on my 01 Windsor as I was having the same problem with my screen door. Very inexpensive and easy to install. Just got off the NW RV Supply web site. Chrome Screen Door Latch Kit. $11.95. Part#349990037 & 31 kits in stock. Includes the new bushing.
