2001 Monaco Windsor 34’ u joint part numbers

I tried doing some research on here, does anybody have the part numbers for the driveshaft universal joints. I have one where the dust cup looks like it is pushed back off and I would like to replace it. Thanks

Have you removed it yet ???
Take it off.
Take the part to any big truck service center or parts store.
NAPA is higher cost now, sometimes?
But can get you a manufacturers parts number. If you want to shop price.

Nobody will care or want to know that its used on a rv or motor home.

Mack truck shop
Peterbuilt
Bus service shop.
Freightliner shop

My 2002 Windsor uses a Spicer 5-279X universal joint. In July 2014 I bought 2 to keep as spares, cost was ~$100 including shipping. In 2015 the driveshaft had to be removed so I could towed. When it was reinstalled they had it out of time so I had to take it back out. I ended up breaking one of the end caps so I used one of my spares so I know it's the right part number for my rig.

Jac

I would assume that is probably the correct part number. I haven’t remove them yet, was planning a trip this weekend and was going to do it after that. Hopefully I don’t have any problems it looks like the dust shield has been like that a while. Do you also have the roadmaster r-3200 chassis?

Mine is the Roadmaster RM8H chassis.

If you have time you could wait and remove the U-joint and take to to a truck shop, I'm sure they would have the correct size. If not they could tell you which on it is.

Yup mine is the RM8H also, r-3200 is the chassis tag. I’m going to order them and tackle it next week. Looks like you just simply unbolt the end caps and pop them off and drop in new? I won’t need any special tool to remove them? You have been very helpful
