2001 Monico Knight Injector Pump

Our Monaco Knight with the 8.3 ISC 315hp Cummins has been dumping diesel fuel into the oil. Final step to recovery is to replace injector pump. Has anyone had an injector pump replaced on one of these and what did the cost of the pump itself end up being?
Thank you for your replies.

Suggest you create and account at Quickserve

It is free, once you create an account input your engine SN and then you can find the part number you need.

My CAPS Injector Pump is Cummins 4076442, prices are all over the place, cheapest I found was ~$3500

A used on is listed on Ebay for ~$1400

Good Luck

Prepare to open wallet

The previous poster is right😱 $3500+ for the CAPS pump plus a transient suppressor plus some other misc seals then the labor. Your rear rad chassis makes the techs job a lot less fun (a real pita actually). I'd locate a cummins dealer or a local diesel shop that will give you a reasonable idea (not quote - cause it's not a cut and dry job) and has done one before.

On my previous coach - 04 Beaver Santiam PDQ I was seriously thinking pulling the rad was the best way since I only had the closet access. If you have under bed I may be better, but still not an easy job. I'd also entertain having them look at the transfer pump and change it if it's wet from fuel (quite common and since your there)

Hope this helps,

Thanks Jim. I will defiantly look into the Quickserve. I'm sure it will come in handy in the future.

Thanks for sharing Allen. I was thinking somewhere in that price range but good to hear from someone with a little more knowledge on the subject.
