I towed a 99 Suburban for years. Blue Ox, plus some wiring modes to active the tail and brake lights.

Look up the instructions in the manual to put it in 4 wheel drive neutral, turn the ignition until the steering unlocks (depends on the year, later ones are always unlocked), hook up and go.

On multi day tows you can discharge the batteries if the ignition is in the accessory position.

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

I would post specific questions over in the Towing area of the forum.

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

My 2004 GMC 4x4 tows with key in off position, your owners manual has detailed instructions, on mine place shifter in neutral, hold in 2H and 4L at same time until until neutral red light comes on, start motor shift in Reverse then Drive for a second, place in park and turn key to off position, remove key if you wish, steering box will not lock. Ready to tow
