I have a 2002 Foretravel

230k on the dial and a 4000 Alison ..

Mostly preventative maintenance ... had the valves adjusted last year and she purrs down the road..

I change the oil every oct or dec.. don’t be afraid of high mileage with this setup.. as long as it’s been cared for you should be good.. things happen but you have a very good combo in this setup!

I agree with everyone... Great Years for Quality RV at Monaco. Solid Builds good bones. It’s a Great Powertrain Combination.... Mine is right at 100k. Runs strong ... around 7mpg at 43000lbs. I have some paint problems but you can’t really tell running 70 mph. I find that better than looking good Road side or Mechanics Shop. I’m very Happy

For whatever reason the Monaco brochure archive has no brochure/spec sheets for the 2002 Executive.

There is a brochure for the 2001 Executive which lists Engine Trans options of 350ISC/Allison3000 or 500 ISM Allison 4000 depending on model. That is here: https://www.monacocoach.com/resource...98_brc_pdf.pdf

I cannot tell what the 02 Engine trans variations are...Someone here will have an 02 exec and brochure/spec sheet to clarify further.

Can you see if the paperwork has the original (not dealer) window sticker or better, the Monaco data card or build sheet with VIN and coach number? You may be able to contact REV/monaco and receive that info for your VIN... if they have it.

Would double check that transmission,
the 3000 series transmissions maxed out at 450 hp and 1250 ft/lbs of torque. Your engine should be about 1550 ft/lbs of torque.
Most likely the Allison 4000 series which could handle 500/1550.
