2002 Endeavor Headlights

I needed new headlights for my rig. They had yellowed so much that no amount of sanding, polishing ect would help them. Over the last few years they have just gotten worse. They also had started to crack on the inside of the plastic lens. Did the internet search using the TYC number. 2001 Lincoln LS. Ordered the headlights from Amazon They are the correct lights. $114.00 each plus shipping.

So in an effort to keep them clear, does anyone have any info on what to put on them to help the UV rays from fogging them up again.

Get some 1000 and 1500 grit wet sandpaper and sand them down.It will fog up the lens but don't worry about that.get all the yellow off....it will only take 5 to 10 minutes per side.......NOW to restore them to like new condition.....spay them with automotive CLEAR COAT available from any auto supply and you will be amazed.......mine look as good as new and the clear coat will not harm the acrylic lens at all

Use a good car wax that has UV inhibitors in it as part of the product. I use Mothers paste wax on mine as well as 303 at times

At one of the RV shows that I was at last year I saw a vendor that made fabric covers for the them that where held on by small magnets, I will be at the Tampa Bay Super RV show in a week or so and will be looking for a vendor that makes these, I mainly want the magnets, if I can find those or the vendor for them my wife can make the covers for them so I can cover the lenses while the rig is parked.

Do not let alcohol (windshield wiper solvent) near them. It's not good around clear plastic at all....
