2003 Monterey Slides Stuck Open

We have the RVA leveling system which is currently busted. The motor started smoking during retraction and the only option I had was to cut power to it. I was able to manually retract the jacks. Well, it turns out that that pump works the slides too. The owners manual is of no help. Anybody have some idea on how to do get this done?

I saw your post on the Beaver forum too.

There would be a relief valve on the RVA solenoids that you manually open. With the relief valve open you would push the slide room closed. It may take a couple of people. Once the slide room is in all the way, close the relief valve so the slide doesn't come back out while driving.

My Coach only uses the RVA pump for the hyd leveling jacks (whereas you said your Coach uses the RVA pump for leveling and room slide outs).
But here is a photo showing the relief valves (the "T handles") just above the solenoids.

I used the tee handles to raise the leveling jacks. What your saying is that if I turn them again and get every able body at the campsite to push in the slides, they'll go in? I was under the impression that there would have been another set or something else. I'll give it a shot.

No. There is only one relief valve for each "jack" or "room".

So if your RVA pump looks like the one in the photo which has three "pairs" of solenoids (a pair consists of an Extend and a Retract solenoid) for three leveling jacks, then you must have another pump somewhere under the Coach for the Room Slides.

My Coach uses the RVA II system. Maybe you have the RVA 1 system. I'm not familiar with that one, but I'll see if can find something on it on the internet.
EDIT: Here is the link to the RVA website. https://www.rvajack.com/ I looked over the manuals for both type systems - but there is no mention of RVA being used for the Room Slideouts too. Are you sure you don't have another pump for the rooms?

Worse case, you could crack the hydraulic line going to the (each) Slide Room so the oil comes out when you push the room in - but that would make a mess and be a last resort.

Fortunately it appears that it's just the relay.* I ordered one from RVA and it should be here tomorrow.* I really appreciate help.* I'll post an update when it's for sure.

100% the relay. I'd swear that it even works better now.
