2004 HR Endeavor
I am seriously considering trading what I have now for an endeavor. It has 34,000 miles on it.
What questions do I need to ask the owner?
I have a 2008 GS Yellowstone super C I purchased used and regret every second. Its really just horrible, but newer.
If you all have some advice let me know.
We were want more of a luxury coach with lots of living/sitting space.
Thanks!!

Check the date codes on the tires. Ask for service records.

Here is the original brochure:

X2 on the tires. If they are original then it's time for new tires. The OEM shocks were Monroe's and new Konis or Bilsteins will be needed to bring ride and handling up to speed. There are 8.

New tires were just put on about 5 months ago.
I will ask about shocks. How much will shocks run?

Good to hear about the new tires. Are the batteries original? If so, they're ready to fail.
FYI, my shocks are performing just fine. That money is staying in my pocket.
Take a serious look at the roof ... where it curves down to meet the side walls (the connection at that point). Some roofs have rivits failing.

Batteries were replaced in 2010. The shocks are heavy duty and he said should last 100,000 miles.
Also it has airbags...what exactly are airbags and what do they do?

Air bags are used to keep the coach level and at ride height when your driving. There is a valve that senses chassis movement and then inflates or deflates the air bag at each wheel to keep the coach from leaning too much.

Not saying the person you are dealing with is dishonest but check the date codes on the batteries and the tires...even if they were put on five months ago, they could be older than that. Some owners and many dealers base newness on installed date and not manufactured date. Spend some time crawling around underneath if you can. Find out who did the regular service and how often. Take the time to make sure all systems operate as designed and for a reasonable period of time. If it moves, try it out.
