2004 Monaco Dynasty - Adding another TV
Hello All ...
We have a 2004 Monaco Dynasty (Princess Model), it currently has 2 TV's in it; one in the front, and the second in the bedroom. They are connected to the AVS 200 Smart Source controller in the front overhead cabinet. I currently don't have a TV outside, and I want to add one. My rig doesn't have any TV connections that I can find in the storage bays so I figured I would have to run a new line from the AVS 200 to the storage bay to connect to a TV. I think I need a cable with a DIN connector on one end to connect to the controller, and the RCA (red, white, and yellow) on the other end for the TV.
Can anyone help me with finding this cable, or any suggestions in adding an additional TV for the outside. We don't want to mount the TV in the compartment, we want to be able to set the TV on a table anywhere we choose under the awning. Thanks.

In the basement compartment do you have any type of outlet either 120 volt or 12 volt??? In my compartment next to the small bay containing the water heater, inverter, transfer switch, plumbing and water pump there is a box that is mounted high in the corner and directly below this are the connections for a TV. The box is about 6"X6"X ~18" long and is carpeted.
If you have a box try taking it apart and look for a TV cable. In most cases Monaco ran standard cable bundles to the different locations. There may be a wiring harness that has the TV cable, since the basement partitions are structural they couldn't run wires in them but instead ran the wiring bundles in the void space between the rails and then dropped them down to various locations.
In my case the wires come down into the box, 120 volt, 12 volt and the cable TV run. I took this box out and mounted a sliding extension mount for a small TV. I can either carry a different TV and use or just take the small one out of the BR and use. I had changed the RV in BR to a 22" flat screen.

I'm not familiar with that system but was curious what it does for you? Does it switch the DVD, outside antenna, satellite system and you are trying to tie in the new TV to it? What are you trying to view with the outside TV? I would suggest a wireless transmitter which would mirror what the other TV's are seeing but that require an HDMI connection which you may not have. The simplest solution may be to run a coax RG6 cable from the existing TV area down to where the outside TV will be located. You could then configure the cables to feed the TV whatever signal you need, be it antenna, sat, or cable.

almost positive you will have cable in the tunnel that is run up to AV compartment above windshield, it will be coiled up in tunnel, there should be power down there already in the large storage compartment, have a good look for it in tunnel access door
Mor Ryde has severl mounts, we have 42 inch flat screen down stair

Moxy, we have a power box in the basement compartment with the 110 outlet, a DC connection, and a phone jack; I try to open that up an see if there are any AV wires in there. I currently don't see any loose AV cables/wires in the overhead compartment. What are you referring to when you say "tunnel", and "tunnel access door'? Thanks

Thanks falconman, yes, that AVS Smart Source control box manages the switching between the DVD, Satellite, Cable, etc; I am trying to connect the additional TV to it. My desire is to have the option of viewing from either source on the additional TV outside without it having to mimic an inside TV or have to continually change the cable connections (from DVD to cable, to satellite).

Thanks jacwjames, I sure hope that box is there on mine. I'll take a look; if the AV cables are hiding there, that would be awesome. All that I have seen in my compartment thus far is the box with 110, DC, and telephone jack.

My coach came with a cable control box but only has 2 outputs. I believe my wire is routed through the BR TV ant then to the basement. My coach had an older analog TV in the BR that I changed to a LED type. Behind the old TV was an incoming cable wire that went to a splitter, one for the BR TV and the other went into a pvc conduit. The only place it could go is to the basement.
If you can't find a cable you will have to run one, I don't know what the best route would be. If you want an individual signal for the basement it will have to originate from your controller. To do that you will probably have to route down one side of the window at the pillar.
Good luck an let us know how it goes.

In between the frame rails there is a space that is enclosed, in the compartment where you found the 12 volt and 120 volts plugs and the phone jack, if you look at the bottom of the tunnel there should be an inspection door, open it and you should see a bundle of coax, up in the TV/AV control cupboard you should find a coax labeled basement or possibl3 TV 3,
