2004 Monaco Monarch SE 37" Owners

This past summer I purchased this RV but the owner knew little about the systems. The owner's manual explains systems generically so I would like to know if someone can answer a few questions about inverters, sound systems, TV wiring, etc.

1. When I replaced the front TV with a flat panel TV I discovered two sets of wires that seemed to go nowhere. One set was the regular "speaker wire" with bayonet tabs. I tried hooking up a sound source but got nothing. The other set was a regular red and white plug in (like the audio plug in for a TV). They also seemed to go nowhere.

2. I also replaced the bedroom TV with a flat panel. However, when I push the "TV ant" button on the mix box I get now signal. I did replace the old analog antenna with a new digital antenna. The front TV works just fine on "TV antenna.

3.In the compartment above the passenger seat (where the mix box is located) there is a small black box like "thing" that plugs into the outlet. Is this an inverter for the TV ? It does not seem to work.

4.In the rear bay where the power cord and TV cables are housed is what I guess is an inverter. I know what an inverter is but how is this used?

5. Where is the battery charger housed and how do I know it works properly.

Thanks for your help.

ve744, Sorry I forgot about your questions.

1. We have the wires you state connected to aux2 on the Magnadyne radio from tv out. Another set from dvd player in left cabinet.

2. I think your new rear tv settings may need to be set. that is video input.

3. upper right cabinet is 130 watt inverter. switch on front should turn on. check for 12volts at rear of box. ours runs vcr or dvd and front tv. never ran batts down.

4. is the converter/charger. 60 amp in our case.

5. check for 12volts at pos and neg at charger befor and after plugging in the rv to shore power.

hope that helps.

Mike
