2004 Signature losing water from holding tank

I have a 100 gallon fresh water holding tank in my 2004 Signature its leaking water or its siphoning out. It occurs when I fill the tank the whole way up and it leaks out until about its about half MT. Normally the water leaks out of the basement on the driver side where the sewer hook up and the fresh water fill is located. Leak or siphon how can I determine which and how I can stop it. Does anyone have any ideas what my problem maybe? Thanks
Paul

Check your lock compartment fill hose, I had to replace mine due to a crack in hose which made it leak in vicinity you are talking about, it is about an 1" so in diameter, it may be causing tank to siphon, local rv parts house has them in stock.

Mine sounds like it is plumbed different, but I had a siphoning issue a month ago. I would fill till it came out the overflow, shut off and where continued to pour out of overflow. Tank started to collapse even.
I found the high point in the overflow and drilled a very small hole to break the siphon. Fixed my problem anyway.

My 04 Sig did the same thing exactly. I would fill tank and then drive for the day and when I checked the tank it was only 1/2 full. Filled again and saw a little leak around the wet bay area on the ground. Chased it down to the gravity fill hose had a hole in at about equal to 1/2 way down the tank. It ran from the small locking gravity fill door to the tank. It ran in the wheel well in front of the drive axle into the wet bay, must of kicked up a rock and put hole in it. Replaced with new hose and covered it with a large stereo wiring cover (one of those that are split and cables are run thru it).. No leak now......

mine did something similar. It was the vent line coming out the top of the tank. Originally the vent line was laying on top of the tank and hanging down the outside of the tank. Everytime I filled the tank, it would siphon out the vent. All I did was tie strap the vent line onto the frame above the tank and it solved the problem.
