Mydogmax, I'll give U my recent experience, though probably 1000# less (4200) than yours. I've been towing CRV's for 10 yrs and recently changed to my 2016 GMC Canyon 4x4, and had concerns about the added wt on performance and fuel mileage. To my pleasant surprise, after 3400 miles, I saw no differences in mileage or on performance. Based on my recent experience, I don't think you will have any problems with the ISL400.

I have a 2006 Camelot 40' PDQ with a 400ISL, it pulls my lifted 2500HD Duramax diesel crew cab much better than I ever thought it would.
