2005 Dynasty Headlight Fixture Replacement

Has anyone replaced their 2005 (or similar) Dynasty headlight fixtures, or have experience/insight with that replacement. If so I have a question.

My research tells me that the 2005 (and possibly 2000 to 2007) Dynasty used a BMW 528i headlight fixture. The rub comes in that in 2001 BMW changed these fixtures to a "halo" projection headlight. The major difference being that they were now using a projection HID headlight instead of a Halogen. Amazon "says" the halo units fit the older BMW's, my concern is fitment.

I intend to get a Daniel Stern relay harness first and then putting in the new fixtures. Will these fixtures fit without modification of the existing openings (I have no intention of modifying the opening. I would rather tape & mud drywall as to work fiberglass. And I hate that)?

Thanks in advance.

What I understand you to say is ignore whether it has the two solid halogen bulbs or two "halo" bulbs and make sure the fixture fits a 1998 to 2000 bmw 528i, correct?

That it is the original bmw configuration. Ebay has 12 or 15 different offerings, just get dot certified.

Check the dot number across the bottom the original headlight and google it. You will find replacements that way and they should fit. If you decide to change them get the projector ones. I changed to those in both my pickup and motorhome. When you do that you shouldn't need to use the relay kits. They use less power so it doen't make much difference.

I replaced the headlight fixtures on our 2004 Signature with new BMW Hella headlight fixtures from eBay. There were two styles available: One with HID and one with halogen bulbs. I believe both styles have a halo around the main beam.

You'll find Monaco cut off the guide pins on the light fixtures and you'll need to cut the pins off the replacements.

I'm now thinking of upgrading the bulbs to LED.
