2005 Monaco Cayman 32' replace Shepard steering box with TRW

Any advice where to get this done? Live in So. Cal. High Desert. Had the rear axle recall repair done, but this thing is still to squirrely.

If you can make the drive I hear that Henderson's Line-Up in grants pass OR Is good and source engineering is by them also maybe get them to take a look.

Source may not do the steering box but will do other suspension stuff.

Good morning Mike; I can't give you a direct answer as I have not done this, but try asking your question in the search box at the top right of this page and you should get a lot of info from owners who have done the swap. A problem with the short wheel based diesel pushers is that are a little squirrely! I had an 2000 Monaco Windsor 32' and I did love the coach. It was on the 8 air bag chassis and I think yours is the 4 air bag chassis and that could make some of the difference in handling. My Windsor 32' was not bad, but compared to my now 01 34' Windsor there is a difference in the 17" more of wheel base. My brother in law had an 03 Holiday Ramble Neptune that was 34' and it handled quite well so that 2' can make a lot of difference. Tire brands can also make a difference in handling. There is a lot of info out there so keep asking questions and welcome to the forum.

Sheppard and TRW Swap Info

Here is all the information you will need on this. The swap really is to eliminate play in the steering. I have almost 2 inches of play on my rig and for now just living with it. After we take a long trip and then I drive the family around in a car they yell at me asking why I'm jerking the steering wheel all over the place. LOL
