2005 Monaco Dynasty Diamond IV Circuit Board

Hi Everyone

The instrument panel stopped working in our Dynasty. The tech replaced the circuit board and the gauges began working again. However, the brake lights stopped working, the parking brake indicator light would only come on when the parking brake was not engaged, “ABS” light would stay on unless you pumped the brakes, and to bring the coach to travel ready we had to “dump” the air.
In summary, everything is working backwards. The tech said the circuit board was wired backwards but needed a Monaco expert to rewire. He also said not to worry, the coach is safe to drive.

I do not have pictures to send, but the original circuit board had the following:

Left Side:
15A Air Level
7.5 A Scrty
5A Stp IGN
5 A Shocks
15A BKUP VIM
N/A Spare

Right Side:
5 A Brake Sig
N/A Spare
1 A Fuel
5 A ABS PWR
N/A Spare
5 A VORAAD

The repalcement circuit board has:

Left Side:
15A Air Level
7.5 A Security
5 A STP IGN
15A Shocks
15A BKUP VIM
15A GAPWWR

Right Side:
10A Bag Dump
Cam Air
10A Tran IGN
1 A Fuel
10A ABS PWR
10 AMP ABS PWR
5 A VORAD

In my opinion, it is a long strech to even suggest the circuit boards are similar. In fact, the replacement circuit board does not have a “Brake Signal” 5 A fuse (the reason the tech ran a separate wire and fuse to get the brake lights to work) as well as...
1. Shocks went from a 5A to 15A
2. No fuse for 15A GAPWR on original board
3. No fuse for 10A Bag Dump on original circuit board
4. No fuse for 10A Trans IG on original board
5. 5A ABS fuse on original board - two 10A ABS fuses on replacement board
6. Both circuit boards have a 5 A VORAD fuse.

The tech said the board he installed was recommended by Monaco and he will get a Monaco expert to rewire the replacement board so the system will stop giving “backward” readings. He insists the coach is safe to operate.

Thoughts?

Thanks so much for your input!!

If you have the old board there might be enough information for you to source a used one. You might check with one of several RV Salvage yards,

I've bought several items from Visione in KY, you can submit an on line parts request and they will get back with you.

Thanks Jim. That is a good idea.

Please note everyone, I have reposted this thread, same title but added Part 2. I was looking at the wrong picture as I was comparing the two circuit boards. The second thread has the correct info.

Thanks again!
