2005 Monaco Monarch slide outs
Bought this class A a couple of years ago and love it. Hasn't given me any trouble what so ever except for the tank sensors which I can live with. My question is how much load will the living room slide out take. I had pretty heavy relatives visit for Thanksgiving. Even though I put some chairs in the main body, they wanted to sit on the couch and dinnet which is in the slide out until I politely told them I didn't know how much weight it would support. I have asked various shops and even stopped by the Monaco factory and no one had an answer.

If your 2005 Monaco has the same slide mechanism my 2005 Beaver/Monaco has, it will support thousands of pounds. No problem. The slide out rides on huge steel beams supported by steel rollers.
Does your slide out look like this? (view looking up from ground at bottom of room. Room extended).

You should be able to get the load specs from HWH (if you know the model of slide out mechanism).
For example, I have this spec sheet on the HWH "X-Slide" (used on my front curbside slide out). It says it can handle 1,500 lbs (and this is not as massive as the slide we are talking about in this post).

Snafu-
First off, you may want to add a signature to your user profile. It usually includes info about your trailer, but people put other stuff in it, too. A signature prevents you having to type that info into each post. Instructions are here.
Our coaches are similar. Send me a private message ("PM") that includes your e-mail address and I'll forward what documents I have that concern the living room slide and the bedroom slide. Instructions on sending a private message are here.
On the issue of weight, I believe you are fine UNLESS the rot problem (common to Monaco products of our era) has significantly weakened the living room slide floor. Here is a link to videos of both the problem and a fix for the problem, "Guardian Plates," sold by Talin Manufacturing. I installed them on both slides of our coach; the living room slide floor had started to rot at the forward edge.

HWH is the manufacturer of a lot of slide and leveling systems located in Iowa. They also have an advanced ride control system called Active Air that is used on some Foretravel motorhomes and can be retrofitted to other models.
