2005 Monaco Windsor Chassis battery charging.
When plugged into 50 amp shore power, the chassis batteries do not charge, but the house batteries do. The rig is fairly new to me, but it has been this way since I got it a couple of years ago. Is there something I have to switch in the electrical system to get a charge to the chassis batteries or is there a problem? I just put a 2 amp charger directly on the chassis batteries to keep them up when parked long term, and that works fine. Is there a better way?

I have the same year, and in that year Monaco Windsor had changed to a setup where only the House batteries are charged. I have added a Amp-L-Start system to mine, which will use the house batteries (when they reach a charged state) to start charging the Chassis. It works for me. They are relatively inexpensive several sites.

ditto. Not hard or expensive. They have a higher amperage one, if you drain more

You could also purchase a Bluesea Marine automatic charge relay that will charge house off alt. when driving or chassis when plugged in. It combines batts. when other set is near full charged state. Your looking $80 or 180ish for one that is capable of boost starting plus any cables/bus bars needed. These carry lifetime guarantee.
There are a hand full of posts on how to and why.

I have the "Trik-L-Start" installed for about 10 years now and it works great. (Max 5 amps) I use solar to charge my batteries mostly, and the Trik-L-Start sips power from the house batteries to keep the chassis batteries charged. I have never had any issues with starting the coach after weeks of boondocking or even plugged in at a park. Easy 3 wire installation and very reliable. (Oh, and I bought mine at regular price! No freebie from the mfr.)

I installed a 5 amp TRIK-L-START a few weeks ago. Very easy to install. It's working great.
