2006-2008 Dynasty...any issues?

We are looking for 40-43 ft coaches of this era and were wondering if there are any known issues to look for?
Thanks
Bob

Since you have the year 2006 listed you should be aware of the Cummins recall because of weak connecting rods in the ISL 350 and 400 motors. Cummins would not fix it and all they did in the recall was detune the motor. If you are looking at a 2006 then check the engine serial number against the recall.

I would also check any dark paint in that time frame for cracking. Not just Monaco coaches, but all others built during those years.....Bruce

If you have the MultiPlex system for controlling the lights make sure everything is working right. The early installs in some 2007 had some programing and wiring issues.

If you have had a MH before, then you know the drill, if not you should know that it will cost you about $2,000 a year in maintenance and repairs if you don't use it, more if you do.

I keep reminding myself that before I bought mine I knew that there are three things to understand about all RVs:
1/ They are designed by idiots
2/ They are built by drunks
3/ They are sold by liars.

If you can get past this you have a chance of being satisfied with your purchase.

Seriously, they are the worst combination of a house and a truck. They are hand made and not nearly as carefully engineered as a car.

Having said all of this, ask any of us if we'd do it again.
