2006 Beaver Monterey Pacifica IV questions

I am looking at joining this group of Monaco (well Beaver actually) owners and have a few questions before I purchase.
I can't seem to find a CCC for this coach and the owner does not have any weight tickets to verify the axle weights. Anyone know what the ball park CCC should be?
I also have convinced myself that offering NADA low retail should protect me somewhat if a repair pops up on this 12 year old coach but if the maintenance receipts are complete (will see them next week), should I feel safe in offering more?

Thanks

I may have worded that wrong. Sorry. What I am looking for is not the GVW ratings of the axles, but what do these coaches actually weigh? How much useful load can I expect after filling the fuel and water tank? My last Class C coach was overloaded before I started filling the fridge.

My coach weighs about 36K fully loaded. That gives me about 6k+ and my bays are packed already.

Hi Trikepilot; If you are looking at this coach from a private owner, there should be a sheet attached either in the rear closet or behind a cabinet door inside the coach that has all that information. It will show all the weights,CCC, GVWR,weight, propane when full, water amount weight when full , empty weight of coach and etc. Just a guess on my part but with just 2 axles and 40' coach, you should be somewhere in the 4K range plus or minus. I am sure someone here who has that coach will chime in, but I would call the owner and ask him to look for that information. If it is there, you can't miss it. Hope this info helps. Good luck!

When we find a coach we love, thatís in good working order with the features we want, we buy it. If it isnít stupidly priced that is.
I guess I donít understand the looking for years when one could be traveling for years.
Good luck.

Well I had my offer accepted of 75K on a NADA value of 93K (including options), so Next Monday I will be driving home a new to me Beaver Monterey.

I am sure I will frequent this forum at least weekly till I learn how all this new stuff works. And because I want to do some mods immediately like building a desk with a TV lift behind it to replace one of the couches.

Thanks for the responses everyone.

Another great source for info on these Beavers is the "Beaver Ambassador Club" Beaver Ambassador Club. They have a forum and a library that I find very useful. But you do have to pay for a membership.

The Beaver Ambassador Club is a great resource for info on your new to you coach. If you are a FMCA member it is $35. I highly recommend it. There is a wealth of Beaver specific knowledge to tap into there and some really good people to meet as well.

I have a very similar coach to yours and have gone through a lot of items over the past three years. I would be more than willing to chat with you if you would like. I will send you a PM with digits and contact info. The $75 K is a very good price for that coach. Probably has the CAT C9.

If you are serious about the couch removal and TV lift take a look at Mike's tread. He did a masterful job of that on his Monaco and posted very detailed info as well. Super guy, wish I had his talents.
