Newbie RV owner question.

Last week we were sitting in RV when 12v power went out. Seemed that fiddling with rocker switch by exit door got power back on.

This week when I exited RV 12v power went out. Could only get rocker switch to stay in place when it was locked. Power would come in if the rocker switch was held in on position.

Seems like rocker switch is broken, but also wonder about solenoid. Isn't rocker switch a pulse switch to turn on solenoid?

I have the solenoid removed since the RV is not where I am. Suggestions on where to get rocker switch and solenoid?

Solenoid is KIB LR9806C-BIP

My switch is an ON/OFF switch that controls the solenoid, but my solenoid is different then yours.

The system you talking about is frequently called the Salesman switch, which turns power off/on as you are entering or leaving. In the short term you can simply connect the two large wires together and then use your main battery disconnect to shut power off to the coach (which is a good practice if you are leaving it for any length of time).

The switch you mention is a Carling switch, you should be able to contact Carling to get a current part number that will work. Or contact NWRVSupply

I'd replace the switch first.

Thank you, I had found the "salesman switch" reference, but would prefer not to start shortcutting as I know where that can lead in the long be term

Thank you for the reference to the vendor I had seen them as one option so we'll give them a call as I believe they have the solenoid but I did not find the rocker yet.
