2006 Monaco Dynasty Diamond 4. Water lines to shower leak
Even though I had heat on, the lines or maybe the shower controls, froze.
Will I have to remove the shower and get in behind it?
Or can I make the hole a little bigger, through the fiberglass, and install new fixture or lines?

Do you have the pantry cabinet directly behind the shower?
If so, my mirror on the wall between the counter top and the upper cabinets comes off and there is an access hole behind that mirror. You can see the back of the shower valve from there.

I also have access to the shower by removing a couple mirrors from my countertop backsplash.
If you are not familiar with how a shower faucet is installed I'd suggest watching some Youtube video's. Most use the same general method but RV's are different then sticks and bricks as there are no real stud walls to fasten to.
What every you do DO NOT cut the fiberglass.

On my 2006 Endeavor I had to repair a leaking shower valve. There is an access behind the backspace. The backsplash was above the small kitchen counter and below the pantry cabinet located on the wall next to shower. Tech had to use a long flat bar to slide behind the backsplash. It was held on with double sided tape.

Back splash is what is behind mine as well. I suppose I will remove it, but it will still be a long reach to get to the shower fixture, because a slide is next to it. So, the fixture is farther in than the end of the back splash.
Thanks for the replies !

Shower access
Hi
Our 05 Windsor PDQ was a pain. After taking our glassware shelving apart you can see but not easily get to the valve. Next step was to take out all the shelving under the sink and that gave me the access to the valve. Once removed off to Home Depot to pick up either a 24 inch or 30 inch, can’t remember braided hose times 2. They had hard connected the factory install and there was no way to make that work. So braided hose it was was. I think I took out the valve cover in the shower which helped with the buried connectors. Did NOT cut any of the surround. I replaced the shower valve at the same time. Either it was the factory poly b or the valve. Didn’t want to go thru that again
Good luck

Thanks again to everyone!
We took the backsplash off, using very thin flat bars and a hammer to cut through the glue. Of course the flat bars were not long enough, so we used three corn knives to cut the glue further in. Then a firm pull got it removed.
It wasn’t fun replacing the shower controls, it was really tight, but we got it done.

Good job. Sounds like access wasn't optimal?
