The fuel filters may need to be changed.

What model Beaver and which engine?
If it's one of the Caterpillar powered Beavers you will need a heavy duty diesel code reader or scan gauge.
A check engine light is usually engine emissions related. You need to read the code set in the engine control unit (ECU) to properly diagnose the issue.

On my 2005 Beaver you can use the Cruise control buttons to retrieve the codes manually. You just count the number of flashes of the check engine light to determine the code. I would think the 2007 Beaver would have the same functionality.

And on our 2008 Beaver you use the dash readout panel to scroll to engine and trans codes
I doubt it is emmisions. Emmisions started with 2007 engines. I would bet you have a 2006 engine (our friends 2007 does).

Beaver model and engine?

Only in cruise control? Is that when the cruise control light is on or when the cruise control is actually controlling the speed?

Does the coach have Vorad?

I have read that mechanics say low coolant is the number one cause of a check engine light.
