2007 Monaco Executive no brake lights and no power to 7 pin trailer plug

I am terrible at diagnosing electrical issues. Went for annual inspection yesterday and had no brake lights. All other lights works. Have checked fuses in front fuse box as well as rear run box. The air brake switches on firewall have power on all lines with brake depressed. I have checked relay in run box. It works when flashers are on. The green and yellow lights are not on as should be when brake on. I can make the green light come on if I power the the correct pin.

There must be another fuse or circuit breaker that I am missing. Most likely in conjunction with the 7 pin trailer hook up. Any insights will be appreciated.

Mine is much older but I have separate relays for all three functions of brake/brighter rear lights. So actually four relays L,R ,Brake and EM. Kind of good redundancy.

Do you have the wiring diagram? I looked but don't have the Executive diagram for turn signals which I believe includes the brake lights. My Signature diagram book excludes that diagram.

I have brake lights again. Turned out that I had a bad relay front fuse box. One problem solved. Have 7 way plug nearly solved. Have turn signals, brake, 12 volt hot, only need to sort running lights.

So you aren't as bad at diagnosing as you thought. Just needed a bit of encouragement.

Please take a picture of the front box where you changed the relay for us. I save those to my files for future use and they may help another some day. Maybe even me.

The rear charge line on our 2008 Endeavor is controlled by the ignition switch controlling a relay. I did not like that and cut the charge line and connected my own breaker and constant power. In some cases we pull in and park without disconnecting and just let it charge all night. Using my own charge line allows me to use larger wires and eliminate the voltage drops through the multitude of wiring and contacts.

It is a standard 5 prong relay available at any auto parts store. It was the relay above the empty relay spot.
