2008 Beaver Contessa Engine Hatch Issue
I just purchased 2008 Beaver Contessa Rome and having some issues with rear/engine hatch. Previous owner installed struts which were not the original length nor correct pressure and I'm not able to close the hatch all the way. Force from the struts were so strong, it also bent part of the latches.
Does anyone have part number/length, LBS rating for the struts? I called Monaco but they want over $120 for each strut and I'm sure I can do better on this.
Any help you can provide will be great!

I might be able to take look tomorrow. We are moving tomorrow, but when we are set back up (if it isn't pouring cats and dogs) I will look.

I should hope so! Camping world in Fife had a few closeouts on there shelf (save some $$). Also, Coumbs RV in Olympia had quite a few older stock cylinders a few weeks back. They made me a great deal on a couple for an unrelated project.

Also check all your pivot points they get stressed and can snap. I have slowly replaced with lock but shoulder bolts.
