2008 Camelot 40PDQ Map Light
Have boom type map lights located at drivers side just below window, one passenger side same location below dude window. Passenger side works, drivers side doesn't. Twisted cap off checked and replaced bulb. Not working, any ideas.

Is the drivers side controlled by twisting the headlight switch like on cars and our Dip ?
It was a DOOH !!!! moment for me

That turns on the overhead map light above drivers seat. This is the boom map light next to driver. You mean the switch controls both, really?

Fuse F51 in front run panel controls both gooseneck reading lights. Since passenger's is working, I would look at wire going to lamp.
Send me an email to my username above @msn.com and I will send fuse chart I made up from the wiring diagram, for the 3 fuse panels. (Front panel, rear run panel & bathroom fuse panel)

It turns on using the head light switch, turn the switch handle which also adjust the brightness of dash lights.

Will do tomorrow thanks again for the help. I'll laminate them for the coach.

Rj,
My last Monaco was like yours, but the 2008 Camelots had the switch in the lamp shade.
Boomer,
I am using the passenger's lamp, but is same as driver's side. To remove lamp assembly, slip a screwdriver under the black cover to pop it off.
Once the cover is out of way, you can remove the 3 screws and lift it up.
Then test the two wires for 12v and ground. Might just be the lamp, but if not, remove lower access panel from driver's console and trace the wires. Be prepared for 3 miles of wire stuffed in there! A real treat.

That's what I did, laminated them and put them in the front run bay for easy access.

Thank you for the update. I checked contacts in the actual switch. I have 12 v, the tabs or cap is not making contact. I will follow up tomorrow.

In the rear run bay, there is a fuse panel to the left of the big boy. The bottom two fuses are for the solar, with one going to coach batteries and other to starting batteries.

Continued:
Two of the 4 wires go to the roof, one to ground, and other to coach battery fuse. (The other fuse is not used in our application.)
