2008 Dynasty Water Filter Placement

After replaceing the water filters in the roadside water bay I discovered that the primary sediment filter and the secondary (carbon) taste/order filter were installed backwards after checking the owners manuel. Has anyone else discovered this or is the owners manuel wrong. Appreciate some feedback on this.

When I recently replaced my filters I forgot which order they were installed. Just checked where the water came in and put the sediment filter closest to the input.

You know I tried that and but thare's so much stuff in that area it's difficult to tell. You can do me a favor if you remember. Look at the attachment I've included and just tell me which side you put the sediment filter in A or B. I have a 2008 Monaco Dynasty and filter setup in the roadside water bay should de the same. Maybe it was easier for you to see which side is the input side.

Thanks

On our 07 Imperial the sediment filter is on the right side of the carbon filter and nearest to the water inlet hose. I marked them for easy replacement after the first change of filters. Hope this helps.

Sorry for the delay. The sediment filter is on the left side (to the front of the coach) - at least on my rig.

Water Filters

How often do the water filters need to be replaced? How can you tell when they need to be replaced?

My 08 Dynasty is about 1 1/2 years old and I have never replaced them.

Thanks

Becker

I can usually tell when the filters need replacement by the flow of water in the toilet. I assume you have the elec. type toilet that automatically opens the water valve and surges water to rinse the bowl. When the filter is starting to clog up the water will not fully reach all around the toilet bowl like it does when the filter is new. We visit a new camp ground that has all new pipeing and it is the worst for rust and muddy water and can clog up the filters in one week of usage. The time you get from a filter depends a lot on water quaity where you use the MH.
