2008 Endeavor generator exhaust

Well, somehow my generator exhaust pipe got destroyed today while getting my yearly safety inspection, I went to open the generator door to change a headlight, and low and behold, there was the end of my exhaust pipe. I have a new pipe being fabricated, the problem is where does the pipe hanger go? Can’t even find a remanent of the upper part of the hanger, only a piece left on the tube. If anyone could get me a picture of yours, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Dennis

Thanks for the pictures, looks like I’m missing some bracing, unless a 2007 and 2008 are considerably different.

Thanks
Dennis

The framing on mine actually is part of the generator slide.
If you need more pics let me know.

I’ll take all the extra pictures I can get, attached is a picture of whats left of mine, looks like the cross bar went missing somewhere, but I do have some extra brackets on mine also.

Hi Dennis; Looks like the support tube that is welded to the stub of tubing straight down is missing. Looks like some parts are lying somewhere. Looks to me like you might need a new piece of tubbing welded on to support the generator exhaust pipe.

Yep, this is what it appears, luckily, the bracket on mine is removeable, just got it out. Going to go to the metal supply to find some 1 1/2” tubing and some 3” plate.

If anyone has the dimensions for the end bracket where it outer support bolts on that would be handy, otherwise ti will be “kinda looks like this”.

I think I have a handle on it now, actually the piece that the lower cross bar is attached to is removable on mine, will make the repair much easier, no welding upside down.

Alls well again, was able to have an new exhaust tube fabricated locally, with a little trimming, it fit perfectly. I was able to fabricate the new support piece with help from several board members providing dimensions and pictures. Hopefully we won’t go thru this needless exercise again.

No, it’s back to stock, I just won’t take it back to the same shop to get the inspection done, that’s the only place the damage could have happened. It was fine when I left home, and it was broke after they did their test drive, their place looks like a junk yard, could have easily snagged it on something in their yard.
