2008 Monaco LaPalma exhaust system.

I have a odd question. My 2008 Monaco La Palma came with the 5.9 cummins motor. I cant find any information if it has a DPF or regular exhaust. How can I tell if its one or the other??

I have a 2008 HR Vacationer with the 6.7L Cummins. Mine has a label on the top of the motor which gives date of manufacturing and other information. I believe all diesels built in 2007 and newer have EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) and DPF. That is the way my motor is set up.

I am by no means an expert but I think all of the 5.9 ISB motors like mine we're pre DPF. When cummins went to DPF on the ISB they went to the 6.7 litre.

I just recently bought it and was under the impression since it was an 2008 it was suppose to have the the newer emissions exhaust. The build date of the rv was 2007 even though its a 2008 model.

our 2011 does NOT require DEF (YES !!!!)
but does have the rest of it iirc...

Check the engine data plate or call Cummins with the serial number. My coach is an 07, delivered in 06 with an 05 built engine. Not uncommon.
