2008 Safari Passage

I have purchased 2008 Safari passage. We are in year two, we are loving it. However it came with no book or any other literature. I have learned everything online so far. It has 17,000 miles and performs beautifully. It is a Triton V-10, 29 foot Class A. The only issue is it may need shocks or some other suspension item, when on the highway it hits a bump in the road hard. Like bang, bang. Even cups/cans in the dash cup holders will splash out. When riding on a street slow speeds (30 mpg) it is fine. I would like opinions on this and help acquiring a book/manual. Thanks in advance.

scroll through the different manuals. You may get lucky and find yours.

You may have better luck searching for individual manuals for each appliance or item. Look for part or model numbers. Same with chassis parts. Usually RV manufacturers include a bundle of manuals with each manual being supplied by the device's manufacturer. The owners manual is similar to the kind in your cars glove compartment. It's more of an operators manual.

Monaco may be able to help.

Unless your rig has the wrong shock installed, bad shocks usually cause excessive rocking or porpoising.

One thing that can cause a harsh ride is tire pressure. Filling to the max pressure printed on the tire is one, and even the pressure on the placard can be to high as it's the pressure required to carry the vehicles maximum load.

Weighing the rig and setting the proper pressures is the way to go.

Thank you. I religiously set my tire pressure to 100 psi before we move. I will need to look into the way to understand weight vs proper tire air pressure.

2008 Passage 315

I have the same unit, mine came with all manuals fortunately. After weighing my unit and checking the appropriate tire chart I was able to determine that 80psi is appropriate for the front end. After dropping the pressure I found the ride was greatly improved and potholes were less annoying.
If there are specific manual items you need to know I could scan and email them to you.
Just email me at mlroettger@gmail.com with your address.
