2008 Scepter - Water Pump Question.

Good Evening,

Picked up our 08 Scepter 42PDQ today, had a excellent PDI at our local dealer. The coach is in great shape only 9K on it.

Wondering if someone on the forum could help with this one;

I wanted to sanitize the water system one more time at home with a reliable clean water source. The water tank has been filled, obviously all 3 low point drains are closed. I filled all of the water lines on the coach using the city water connection - but when I turn on the Aquatec pump to move my sanitized water throughout the lines the pump motor just makes intermittent sounds - NO WATER?
What am I missing here, a valve, does it need purging, priming?

I have had a look at the valves right at the pump, pump to faucet and ice maker - they are open, winter bypass valve closed.

Any thoughts would be kindly and much appreciated.

Thankyou

Adam Hunter

Check the filter screen for the pump and make sure it isn't clogged.

Is there a valve to switch between city water and tank? Also suggest you call the dealer's service dept. to see what they say.

There is one valve that switches between Winterize and City water. I will call the dealer first thing in the morning,

Thanks for your thoughts though.

Adam.

Got the pump working......I took off the hose off at the outlet side of the pump - turned it on and it purged itself.

Thanks

If there is a next time, just turn on a few faucets (including hot water ones) to give a path for the air to be purged from the system
