My vote is tire pressure. My worse case of wandering was when the tires were under inflated. Get it weighed, check the tire pressure tables for your tires add some cushion for safety and then see how much it wanders.

Do a search on this and you will find two days of reading. I believe you have the tag axel?? We have an 08 Endeavor 40SKQ and 2009 it became a 42 footer with a tag.
Now for a quick synopsis. White knuckled at first. Had an alignment done and it helped a lot but still no cigar. Of course did the four corner weight and adjusted tire pressure. No help at all. Added the Safe-T-Plus steering shock and it helped but still not great.Found my ride height was way off and that helped the handling. Bought front and rear sway bars and installed myself. Huge improvement in handling. No more white knuckles but it still likes to S turn down the road especially when towing. I can drive it all day with comfort now. Before it was terrible.
A recent post got into an intense report on the steering gear but I have not addressed that yet but it sure seems like the final cure. I wll post this and then try to get some other links together on the issue.

Would someone define both sway bars and track bars
as it relates to Class A coaches?
Thanks

Would you share approx costs (both parts and labor, yours and shops)
for each of the steps you have tried?
Thanks!

You might want to give these guys a call and describe your situation and concerns. They have a detailed knowledge of Monaco chassis and have engineered some suspension enhancement kits that have received some great customer reviews.

First: In checking my steering box it is not adjustable. I have the 8 bag roadmaster.
Costs: Alignment $250.00 and about 3 hours
Ride height. Did myself. Took a lot of research to find specs and how to
Safe-T-Plus $500.00 Installed myself. Built an electric trim kit.$150
Sway bars. Installed myself $2000.00
Four corner weight: $20.00
Fan kit: $650 and about 3 hours to install.
Engine performance Chip: $650. 30 minute install.
Overall better mileage by 1.5 mph, acceleration improved 25-30%. Noise dropped 5db with fan. Corners like a go cart now.

YCI, what brand of steering box do you have? Do you know its model number? I would like to read about it. In my experience of fifty years, starting as a teenager, I have seldom seen a steering gear that could not benefit from a minor (sometimes major) adjustment. I don't see how a manufacturer can make a steering box that never needs adjustment.

My coach (on a Roadmaster RR8R) has a Sheppard steering box with about 2" of play at the steering wheel.
I have downloaded service manuals and had it in an alignment shop and there is no adjustment for play.
I'm currently investigating a replacement or rebuild to try and cure the wander.

I'm extremely surprised to read you have a steering gear which can not be adjusted in some manner or the other.

Here's the manual. Based only on a visual and not actually taking numbers off the box. http://www.rhsheppard.com/mseries_complete2.pdf

Can't argue with page 65, no adjustments.
