2012 Dynasty passenger console

Good afternoon all. I have a question about the Dynasty passenger console. It has switches on the top and the front face of the panel. That is where the step switch, porch lights and a few other switches live.

Is there some trick to having the console switches work all of the time? Sometimes the ceiling light switch works while we are driving. Other times not.

We were parked and plugged into shore power and the switches would light up inconsistently. The drivers side switches on the dash were always lit but the only time I noticed the switches on the passenger console to be lit up was early in the morning when I take the dogs out. That was the only consistent time. Otherwise they would occasionally be on in the evening. But not for long.

I read through the user manual but that wasn’t helpful. I will admit that I am not electrically inclined so when I did some internet searching, I likely wasn’t using the right search terms.

Is there some switch I am missing somewhere that keeps them on? A connection somewhere I should check to see if it is loose? If so, where? Any help is greatly appreciated

You can download a soft copy of your owners manual here:
https://www.monacocoach.com/rv-owners-manuals

This makes it easy to do word searches in Adobe Acrobat.
From page 168 of your owners manual:

The “Master Off” switch is located on a
multiplex panel above the copilot seat. The
setting of dimmable lights will be retained
after turning the lights off and back on.

Press and release to turn on and off all
multiplex switch backlighting.
Press and hold the switch for three
seconds to turn off all interior
multiplexed lighting.
Press and hold the switch for six
seconds to turn on all interior
multiplexed lighting. Continue holding
the switch and the living area lights
will turn off followed by all remaining
multiplex lights.
Continue holding the switch for the
appropriate amount of time after any
operation to turn lighting back on or
off.
Hope this helps.

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

Not being familiar with your coach I can't offer suggestions. Hopefully the info others gave you will help!

I just noticed you are new on IRV2 and wanted to say hello!

Thanks for the welcome. And thanks for the info. A searchable user manual is really nice so thanks a lot for that.

It's not just that the switches don't light up, they don't work unless they are lit. Will the master light thing fix that?
