2012 knight heading back to factory

Our coach is heading to Indiana to get some repairs done. I see this is as a good thing and applaud Monaco for taking this action. We have been having a series of issues and our local service center has been struggling to fix them.

I complained to Monaco and they listened and are paying to have to coach brought to Indiana and repairs done.

Clearly they are serious about customer relations. Denis

What are the issues and who is the service center? If it's a slideout problem I would definately head to Wakarusa or Coburg.

numerous issues

I have a series of issues that do not seem to get resolved. From leaking slides (2), motor roughness, directions failed again, corroded dip stick, smoker detector was installed directly above the stove so it alarms every time you cook, leaking windshield, wind noise by driver window that is horrid, etc. etc.. Navistar made the decision to bring it back.

On some of the new Maxforce engines in the MHs (talking to a couple of techs at Coberg) were rough and would even quit and have to be towed back to Coberg. I believe the engineers have solved the problems. When will you get it back? Will they extend the 1 year warranty? deSanford

I too have a 2012 Knight. Please keep us informed as to how they fix your issues. Our smoke detector also sounds off even when running the toaster! They should have put it 10' further forward. We have to run the exhaust fan on conv. oven every time we cook or toast. We received service bulletin for the trans/eng and took it to be re-scanned. That made a big difference. No more jerking and a noticeable increase in mileage. I've also had to replace several (10+) halogen 10 watt G4 base light bulbs at over $5 a pop. Has anyone tried the LEDs if so how do you like them? Also had a heater hose that wasn't properly routed spring a leak because it was rubbing on the engine and had to cut it and splice and tie it up. The door didn't latch properly or hold open in even a light breeze. Hydraulic pump leak. Air leveler was shorted. Several shades that have to be rewound regularly. Toilet that the pedal has to be pulled up to stop the water. Most items have been resolved. The latest thing is the ice maker quit working. Will be trying to get this fixed 1/7/13 or at least a start!

very surprised by the issues with the Knight

I am very surprised / disappointed with the issues we are experiencing. This will not bode well for their long term success.
