2015 HR Ambassador owner with questions

We just bought a 2015 HR Ambassador. We are preparing to go full time. This summer we will take 6 months and then sell the house and all our junk.
My first question is: The rear external ladder is 5 or 6 feet off the ground. Should there be an extra piece which hooks to this ladder or what? If not, what do you use?

Second question: Has anybody used the Dirt Devil house vacuum? We are missing all the hoses. Is it worth buying hoses or not?
Third question: Under the TV and next to the fireplace is a hole where hoses and electrical wires pass through to the slide out. See here:https://photos.app.goo.gl/uN72LJLyk5ABhV136
The hole is for the cables to slide freely when the slide out is moving. I suspect this hole should be something different. I found on-line pictures of a accordion doors. I wonder how hard would they be to add after the fact? We have a cat that would love to hide in this hole.
Last question today: Winnebago has on-line schematic for most of their units. (plumbing, electrical, etc) Does HR have this and if so, where?
Many thanks in advance!!

Yes, you should have a lower half to the ladder which you hang on the lower rung of the top half. I usually leave mine at home, and carry a 6' step ladder, which is much more useful.

I use the built in Dirt Devel all the time. Works well.
